“World Moral Day “observed by the WHD; Experts vouch for the World peace

FURTHERING its resolve for declaration of September 2 as the “World Moral Day “, An International NGO “World Humanitarian Drive (WHD) today marked the day with a series of virtual programs which were aimed at wafting goodwill among the society, currently smarting under the severe strain of the pandemic.

 

Abdul Basit Syed, Founder Chairman of an International NGO “World Humanitarian Drive (WHD) laid key thrust on the morality in the society and observed if it is compromised, nothing would be left to look far.

 

His organization has in a communication to the United Nations to declare Sep 2 as the ‘” World Moral day “to spread the most sought after virtue. He opined that it was this virtue which had suffered most during the current crisis time, so it must be redeemed every year with full vigor to safeguard humanity in such a global crisis.

 

 

He equated the current crisis with the horrific world war two and that gruesome conflict had ended on the morality note on Sep 2, so it should be observed as the ” World Morality day”. it will remind the entire world every year that virtue should be the guiding principle of the international community.

 

 

Today, The WHD organized a webinar that strongly batted for spreading the virtue of humanity across the world which is grappling with both inter and intranational conflicts that jeopardize peace on the planet earth. Experts were of the firm view that it was the time of hand-holding rather than undercutting each other for parochial Interests. They also released a song, specially composed for the day, and organized a tree plantation program.

 

 

The global peace brotherhood head AbdulBasit Syed said the proposed day will go a long way and it must be structured to build up a robust architecture for observing it every year.

World War II (often abbreviated as WWII or WW2), also known as the Second World War, was a global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945. It had started on SEP 1, 1939 and had ended on Sep 2, 1945.

 

Recently, The WHD Head in a seminar had said that If You Don’t Read the Newspaper You Are Uninformed, If You Do Read the Newspaper You Are Misinformed: Mark Twain.

 

Mr. Sayeed had started with this quote and argued that on the lines of corporate social responsibility, similar practice be adopted for the media. He made it clear that it was not meant to control the freedom of the press, but to safeguard people’s trust in the most. Effective pillar of society, he noted. He was stressing the need for a constructive role by the press in spreading morality.
