Peaceful polling conducted in Kerala 69.95% , TN-64.92%, Puducherry -77.90%, Assam 78.94% & WB 77.68%

Polling was conducted peacefully in1,53,538 Polling Stations spread across 475 Assembly Constituenciestoday, in the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and for the third phase of Assam and West Bengal.

Up to five pm, 69.95 percent of votes were polled in Kerala,64.92 percent in Tamil Nadu, and 77.90  percent in Puducherry – these were one phase polls while in Assam’s third phase today witnessed 78.94 perc cent polling against WB’s third phase 77.68 percent.

The number of Polling Stations has increased in view of the fact that the number of voters per polling station has been reduced from 1500 to 1000 keeping social distancing norms in view.

Polling percentage may slightly vary after the final voting figures.
