Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa tweet asking workers not to indulge in any protests stokes speculations about his ouster

Amid growing speculations that there might be a change in leadership in the Karnataka state government, Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa late tonight asked party workers not to indulge in protests and indiscipline. His tweet fueled rumours that his exit is imminent, but no official announcement has been made by the central leadership.

Some observers feel that it might be a veiled signal to the high command that there might be an embarrassing situation for the BJP in the state if he is removed.

B.S. Yediyurappa has tweeted:@BSYBJPI am privileged to be a loyal worker of BJP. It is my utmost honor to serve the party with the highest standards of ethics & behavior. I urge everyone to act in accordance with party ethics & not indulge in protests/indiscipline that is disrespectful & embarrassing for the party.8:39 PM · Jul 21, 2021Twitter for Android

On my part, I request that no one should take up the protests. The scope of goodwill discipline should not exceed. The events that bring the party to Mother Equality, its honor, bring me great pain. I believe that genuine well-wishers respond to my feelings in this regard.8:13 PM · Jul 21, 2021Twitter for Android
