In view of increasing cases of corona infections in Delhi, a Night curfew has been imposed from 10 pm to 5 am and vaccinations have been opened round the clock. The national capital reported 5,100 new cases and 17 deaths in the last 245 hrs.
In India, the cumulative positivity rate has marginally increased to 5.07% as the country’s daily new cases continue to rise. 96,982 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours.
Maharashtra health Minister Rajesh Tope has tweeted: Today, newly 47,288 patients have been tested as positive in the state. Also newly 26,252 patients have been cured today. Eight states including Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat have shown a steep rise in the COVID daily new cases. 80.04% of the new cases are reported from these 8 states. Maharashtra has reported the highest daily new cases at 47,288. It is followed by Chhattisgarh with 7,302 while Karnataka reported 5,279 new cases.
The night curfew will take place from tonight to April 30. All necessary services will continue. People are urged to follow the night curfew and support the Delhi government in fighting Corona.
